I am going to guess you have a book. I read through two almost every night for the last week. It made me more scared, but the birth went so smooth - it was her first litter and she didn't even read the book! She had the first one on my bed and woke me up cleaning it up. I woke up my two teen sons at 5:00 am to watch with me. One was keeping track of how long between puppies. When she was done(5 pups by 7:30a), it felt like there were two more, one in each horn. Maybe it is swollen. My son watched the clock for two hour, per book - no longer between pups. He was ready to pack up and head to the vet. I felt her again, and thought 'no more puppies.' I said, as long as she seems fine, we will not worry. |
