It might be that I've mis-read the posts, but it sort of feels like if you had a "skin" baby and it was born with brown eyes and was on the bigger size you would want some answers and a way to change it -

Just love them for who/what they are -

i was one of those people who you are talking about. when i saw a yorkie or two and was playing around with them, i knew in my heart this is what i wanted. i wanted a standard size yorkie. i searched akc and this is what i knew what a yorkie was. i got my yorkie but when she grew, she has short hair, long snout, floppy ears, 10 lbs, and she is not the yorkie that i had grown to love. (granted i did not research breeders very well and didn't know to do this until i came here) don't get me wrong. i love her to death and she will be with me always but this is not what i wanted or paid lots of $$$$$$ for. i wanted a standard yorkie. this is how i found yt (like many others) wondering why my dog doesn't look like a yorkie????? and thru yt i have learned about the poor breeding of yorkies. now i have three more yorkies that are within the standard and i love them just as much.
when we see that face and love it.....and we get one that does not have all the yorkie traits, we begin to question????is this a yorkie????was there a mix????? not that we don't love our dogs but we want to know WHY???

i hope this answers your question
