I don't mean to be mean or anything, but it usually isn't a good idea to give someone a living thing as a gift. It may not be what your friend wants, may not have the look, personality, age, etc. and your friend will then be stuck with that dog instead of what she wanted for many years or the dog will be rehomed if she doesn't like it. Once you find a puppy in your price range you should definately let your friend have the final say before you purchase it. Good luck!
