My vet contradicted herself by saying that they are born in 8 weeks but in almost the same breath she said 63 days. I questioned her but she said 8 weeks so I left it at that. She told me that x-rays was only to count the babies and that you couldn't tell if they were to big for the mother to give natural birth to which contradicts what I have repeatedly heard elsewhere. My neighbor was with me and the vet clearly did not believe we had heard the heartbeats though we both had. Nothing was said there. She contradicted herself on other points too but I think I was so surprised that I have forgotten which ones. It just makes it difficult when you are not feeling comfortable with your vet.
