Brushing teeth I am a new yorkie owner and I have a couple of questions.... First, I remember hearing on the radio a couple of months ago that research has shown that brushing a dog's teeth actually introduces MORE bacteria into their mouths and in their gums than not brushing and the researchers thought it was because the brushes weren't changed out often enough. Did anyone else hear or read about that? I also wondered about how early you should start doing something with their teeth besides giving them dental chews. What about those finger wipes to clean teeth? Aren't those disposable? Second, the vet put Gizmo on Earadicate for his earmites and said to use them for two weeks. Two weeks? Why so long? Just curious.
