Your husband can be glad he doesn't live in my house.
I have what I call "s**t piles" lying around and my husband & I both are good at "overlooking" them.
We've lived here 21 years and a long time ago, I gave my husband an ultimatum, paint the walls or I'm hiring someone. He didn't and I hired a painter. The only thing my husband said was, it looks good.
Jodie, maybe if your husband says he doesn't feel comfortable in any room in the house, maybe he would feel comfortable living out in the garage!
Seriously, I hope things improve. Hang in there and when you need to vent, were always here to listen.
