a big dogs heart. He thinks he's head of house when it comes to other dogs. He is in charge of protecting you and his other buddies from outsiders. But biting people and children is a no no. A Yorkie's job is to kill nasty rodents
He is programed to do this, it is basic to his nature. Before I open a door I make sure that the person on the other side is a friend, if not he is confined elsewhere before I open a door. His heart is in the right place even if the method is wrong. At night if my hubby is out and tries to come in he has to convince my Yorkie that it's ok.
He tried to take on a mother raccoon and her babies , but , I was able to call him off.
I don't know if this helps but it is nice to chat about our pet babies.
