I know I live in a totally differnent part of the country but I have had absolutely no fleas. (I hate the nasty buggers!) I have treated my collie with revolution and my yorkie with frontline plus. However, I just want to say that my collie is 10 and even when I wasn't real consistent with the frontline (what I used to use on her) she wouldn't get fleas. I used to treat her like twice a year during that season and never had a problem. But my husband does have to spray for termites and carpenter ants and I bet that the chemicals also kill fleas. Those chemicals really make me nervous especially with the yorkie because she's so small but maybe that would be an option for you. Use it just before you go on vacation or something. Just an idea.
