We left Xena with a pet resort for 4 days in April and will be doing it again when we go on a cruise in October. Our place walked her 4 times per day, she had a 5x5 room and you could order amenities like a kong toy once per day, extra playtime with the staff and grooming services. Plus our vet was in the same building so I knew she was safe.
Maybe try looking into something like this - they are popping up all over our city.
