Oh my goodness, I am SO sorry that you had to go through this...I sincerely hope that Keisha is okay, just shaken up--how horrible!! It's horrendous to think that anyone could abuse an animal, especially when you put your trust in them like that; I guess it proves to you that you really don't know who you can trust (I hate thinking like that, but...)
You know, this post has really made me think; I posted about a week and a half ago about taking Sadie to the groomer and how it was supposed to be the "puppy cut," but she came back looking like the "puppy cut" times 1000... Mike (my boyfriend) did mention to me that he didn't want to take Sadie back there; not that he had seen or heard anything but it's kind of a hole-in-the-wall place, and that he just didn't have a good feeling about it. And thinking about it, the dog shook like crazy when she was on my lap for at least a good week; I figured she was probably a little cold on account of no hair, and it was still a little chilly out here in CT; now I'm wondering if maybe she was petrified. It hurts my heart to think of anyone mistreating my baby...Sadie will NOT be back there. If I have to drive her 45 minutes away to the groomer my parents have been using for years, that's what I'll do. I can't bear to take any chances...
