We're all glad you have a healthy dog - no one would ever want anything but that - but ...maybe you didn't realize the whole story about S&V. As long as I've been here I haven't heard very many good things about them at all. I know Jen did alot of research into this place and she used to think the same way you do ...We WANT to believe people when we're buying a puppy that what they say is true about their operations - but the sad truth is - with that many breeds and dogs - there's just no way he breeds himself and Jen has the paperwork to prove it. It would be so bad for his business if he was honest and up front and said "HECK yes - I get all my dogs from puppy mills" although I wish it was a law they HAD to disclose that. It's not and ANYONE can buy dogs from a mill
Petland is a prime example of that and the biggest Puppy Mill customer out there. and THEY don't tell people that fact either. |
You know V, that's the really sad part.

I use to RAVE about Ivan. I bragged to anyone and everyone who would listen to me. God, if only I knew then what would happen to my angel, I never would have opened my mouth. If you do a search under my older posts, you'll see a lot of them bragging about Ivan and what HEALTHY dogs I had. Boy was I a fool. I feel foolish for ever bragging about him (even though some really wonderful breeders here on YT told me to keep an eye on my dogs because something could happen to them in the future). I just laughed off their warnings. I thought so highly of Ivan and that nothing bad would ever happend to my babies (especially because I use to live around the corner from Ivan growing up, so I felt like I knew him). I really lived to eat my words in the worst possible way.
I'm almost positive a lot of people got their dogs from Ivan because on my recommendation and I feel SO terrible and guilty for ever complimenting him and his business. I just pray that their dogs don't suffer the way my Katie did.
