I love Weight Watchers. I lost 30 lbs. there about 5 -6 years ago and have kept if off for the most part. I need to lose about 5 pounds of winter weight now, so I have to just start eating really right.
The most important thing they taught me is portion control. I also buy fat-free whatever is available if it tastes okay. If you do the low fat thing though, you need to take your omega oils (like from flaxseed oil). Lots of water, exercise if you can, have your snacks prepared and never leave the house without something you can eat that you enjoy and isn't fattening. In a pinch, I'll have a banana, and in the summer I don't worry because you can always buy a container of cut-up cantaloupe, honeydew and watermelon. I used to have about 5 small meals/day (3 meals and 2 snacks), but now I just have the 3 meals.
What helped me a lot was to never let myself be hungry, and if I had craving, to figure out exactly what I was craving and then try to substitute it with a fat-free product. Many a night, I would have Fat free Cool Whip with
low fat chocolate syrup because I need my sweets! You could have caught me also swigging down low fat chocolate syrup right from the bottle some nights. If it was chips I craved, then it was really salty and crispy stuff so I ate fat free popcorn or low fat chips, etc.
Anyway, good luck and, of course you don't really need to lose - you're gorgeous, but if you feel that you want to, I'm backing you up! |
