You were a lot nicer than I would have been. I would have told her to show me what she bought with her $1000 in ten years, and I will show you what I still have. More love and affection than any ole bag. Right now my daughter (grown, with a family of her own, in a different state) is a little ticked at me for spending so much money on Maggie. I think she may be worried about her inheritance. You know what? Doesn't bother me at all. I love my Maggie, and Maggie unconditionally loves me. Too bad I can't say that about my own friends and family.
