How bout another yorkie? I'm single and I'm gone for work usually 9 hours a day. Otis seemed sooooo bored. I got him a little brother (shihpoo). I don't know what they do when I'm gone, but I think they know that they aren't alone. I also leave the TV on. Usually when I come home from work they are all over me, but if I've had to take one of them and leave one at home, as soon as we walk in the door they are all about seeing each other and don't give me a second look. Don't know about any toys, but maybe as he gets older it will be easier on him. Good Luck!!
