I don't know if Sophie is afraid of the thing or if she just thinks it is something to attack. But whenever I get out the vacuum, she attacks it. It is an upright with a hose attachment, and she will actually grab the hose in her mouth an shake it. I have to lock her in another room so that I can clean. She barks at it, chases it, and attacks it. I am not sure what she thinks it is.
