Although I can't offer any advice, I can relate to your frustration. I had a husky, Ruby, who absolutely refused to poop while on a leash. She was good about going in the backyard (and would tell us when she had to go out) so long as a leash wasn't attached.

Of course, they say that dogs are very superstitious creatures. For many dogs, if something painful or scarey happens while they are doing something, they are almost afraid forever of doing what they were doing at the time. In this case, perhaps our dogs stepped on a thorn while pooping or an ambulance suddenly roared by with sirens blasting. Thus, pooping on a leash MUST mean that scary/painful thing will happen again when pooping on a leash.
