I think clothes definitely seem to cause mats and tangles, especially when they still have their puppy hair. Now that most of Jake's puppy hair has grown out, his hair doesn't tangle or mat at all. He has a silkier coat, and I also use a detangler, especially when he's going to be running around outside.

Thanks fr the response I hope Mika's hair does not tangle when she grows the puppy hair out.
