I think she was the rude one and you were just defending your family member. SOme people just dont get it. I personally do not like to tell family or casual friends how much I paid on each of my dogs because I have gotten responses like that too. My parents thinkI am crazy and they voice thier opinion too much. It tick me off becuase the know how important they are. And for goodness sakes I have a dog business- even more reason to spend good money on my babies! My mom loves to quilt and she bought a $20,000 dollar industrial machine that will take forever to pay off. And did I make fun of her- NO. Because she uses it every day and hopes to work fulltime eventually quilting quilts. oh well. I try not to stoop to thier level.
