Agreeing to disagree is the key. They just get so passionate about it that it starts arguments. I personally do not choose to listen to them, but I have in the past. I think they both try to state their opinion as fact and do not want to hear what anyone else has to say, no matter what. Even if I don't agree with someone I try to respect their opinion as just that - their OPINION.
