All I can say is keep them warm. My vet said that getting cold at night causes thier bodies to work to try and keep themselves warm....therefore burning sugar...then causing hypo episode. If they are warm body doesnt burn off that sugar! Lots of mini meals and MAKE SURE they go to bed with full belly! I let him lick a lil peanut butter before bed now....and try to get a snack of complex sugars and grains in his system. Couple cheerios, baby carrots anything.... Good luck with your baby! If you ever need to talk Im here!
Hypo is so scary to me. There are soooo many times I wanna just cry and talk to someone who goes thru the same thing.....Especially when these occur at night, vet is closed, and family asleep....feel very alone.
Oh wow I'm sorry - do you have him sleeping with a hot water bottle/ thermal blanket etc or anything like that at night ??? I posted something in this thread about this - see post #4 - and good luck to you - I'd be scared too but you aren't alone ok ???
