People that have never owned a yorkie do not realize how precious they really are. My husband and his family about fell out when I told them how much I had spent. I didn't even tell my husband I was going to buy them, I just came home with them. My husband will tell you know that he wouldn't trade them for the world.
Until you've owned a yorkie, you just see numbers and not the over all picture. I think that $1000 is a fair price for a yorkie.
My friend's mom said that yorkies were over rated and she would never spend that kind of money on a dog...she now owns one and is looking to get another!
