Post The vet quote - a breakdown!

They just faxed me the 'estimate' (honestly, it's like getting a car repaired!). All is in CDN dollars.

Surgical IV Fluids: $20.85
Medication/Sedation: $13.75
Sterilization Anesthetic: $51.15
Canine Neuter: $73.65
Surgical Materials/Pack Fee: $47.50
Surgical Pain Medication: $16.72
General Anesthetic Additional 15 mins.: $230.50
Dental Survey Films: $179.85
Timed Oral Surgery: $558
Local Anesthesia: $124.20
Dental Pack Materials: $25.50
Post Anesthetic Care: $34.40
Prescibed Medications: $60

I do like this vet, he is very nice, so I'm not sure that he is trying to gouge me. He came very highly recommended, too. It does seem that they are trying to budget for everything that might or will be needed, which I do appreciate. I'd rather be told all the potential costs up front than be surprised by a bunch of extras at the end.

Any thoughts????
