I just use the regular stuff you buy at Petsmart, it's got some kind of flavor in it that they love. I use a kids toothbrush, the smallest kind I can find. They don't care for the whole brushing bit, but when it's over, I let them lick the toothbrush (at that point, it just smells good to them, the paste has already been brushed away) but they don't know that. I talk it all up... "get your snacky, good dog" etc and they think licking the toothbrush is a snack! A reward! They even bite/gnaw at it with the way in the back teeth, so it's like they're brushing their own teeth a little too!
Tucker looks forward to a teeth brushing. Lucy, she needs a little encouragement. But it's not a workout for me.
