It is common in yorkies and other toy breeds for them to have retained baby teeth. It is a very simple and fast procedure. Scampers had 3 baby teeth extracted and the cost came to $200 which included the anesthetic, full blood panel, and IV and medication. It would have cost a little less but he had some complications and they have to give him an IV and monitor him really close. But everything went great. He was back to himself the next day. I don't know how much $1400-$1800 is in American dollars but it does seem really high. |
