I have bought prescription pet meds online before. I took the meds into my vet at a vet visit because I wanted to make sure all the dosages were appropriate for Tinkie's size and age. My vet "GASPED" she said that I should NEVER buy prescription pet medication online and this is why:

They take "out of date" medication and repackage it so the date looks fresh. She told me that this is very dangerous because sometimes the old medicine changes chemically to toxic when it is old. She also said that it is illegal to purchase prescription medication online without a prescription.

I have since returned my order to the place I bought it online. I didn't use any of it. I thought maybe this would help anyone thinking about buying thier pet prescription medications online.

Thanks again for your posts!

Annie and Tinkie

Thanks so much! I have never bought meds online b/c we visit the vet so much, but I started considering it here recently since we've got a housefull. I will remember this and thanks to too whoever warned about the Sentinel not being a good heartworm med. I will talk to my doc on Monday and see if I can put them all on Heartgaurd again!!! I really wish they could get a pill that tasted good that took care of everthing!!!!
