CT - If you have ever had a child with the croup, it sounds like that. They sound like they are honking and are gasping for air. I agree, most of the time they only do it when they are excited, scared, etc., but last fall Chloe had the worst attack ever.. Nothing set off, she was sitting there and all of a sudden she started coughing and could not stop. We took her to the animal hospital and they took her from me immediately. She was put on oxygen (for the whole night) and sedated. They let her out the next afternoon.

When I take Maddi for a walk (and Chloe) Chloe can only walk for a little while, then when she starts having a hard time to breath, I pop her in the stroller and she can socialize with us. She knows it and loves the stroller.
