My mom had a Bischon mix when I was pregnant with my daughter. Her name was Muffin. That dog knew I was pregnant and followed me everywhere, where as before, she stuck to my mom like glue. She slept with me, was always checking up on me and stayed with me while I was going into labor, bawling my eyes out 'cause it hurt and I wanted to make sure it was real labor and not false labor.

We never knew how old she was, but her vision got bad and she had a hard time getting around. And she was always in pain. When she fell down the porch stairs face first, I convinced my mom it was time to let her go and we put her down. That was a hard, hard day.
