My vet told me that using the Frontline Flea protection is better for yorkies than the others because the others tend to wash off easier. She said that I'd need to use a specific shampoo with the others that doesn't wash off the solution. That is why I'm using the Frontline.
Sentinel is actually the monthly heartworm medication that includes some flea protection. It stops the flea from producing eggs that will hatch; therefore, the adult fleas that are on your dog are not affected.
In Louisiana, we have fleas the size of cows that can haul you off in a split-second. I'll have to see if the Frontline continues working once the heat is back.
