It might have to do with their sense of smell. I heard where dogs have actually warned diabetics of an impending attack, and have actually sniffed out cancer before the human even knew about it. It could just be an extra sense. I know when I have a headache, Gracie always seems to know where it hurts. She will get up on my shoulder and kiss the part of my head that hurts. It is so darn sweet!
