It really is fascinating.
Growing up I had a bichon that her old owners had moved off and left her as a stray. She recently passed and was 20! When I was young she could sense when I was sick and would sleep ON my chest on those nights. If I stopped breathing or my coughing got bad she would go and jump in moms bed and wake her up to come see about me.
