How long has she been used to freedom? I think that makes a difference. If she didn't get used to being in your room overnight, she's not going to get used to the crate overnight. Tough love is hard, but if you are going to resent her pooping on the floor, then it's best to get the training done...for both of you. I know I would resent my house smelling like pee and poop eventually, so we are very strict about potty time.
Chloe fusses if she knows we can hear her, although there are times she spends in her kennel and doesn't mind a bit. It's tough. |
