Tough love is sooooooooo hard and listening to them crying DOES break your heart...I never crated my dogs as puppies so I cant give you any good advice..they go in their crates while we are away without problems but as puppies they were with me 24/7 even in bed...I worked at home at the time so it was much easier. I hope it gets better for you and that someone can offer you some good advice..
