interesting question... i think that dogs are a lot like kids... and i know sometimes when kids are too sheltered their bodies don't build up an immunne system and then when they get a simple cold, it will turn into something else. like your dog, Layla is out in the grass and sniffing and i'm sure she picks stuff up out there every day, but her body is equipped to deal with it... does your grandma's dog have all its shots?
