I have had migraines since I was 8...they have tried; Dilantian, Maxalt, Imatrex, Loretab, the cocktal,Topamax, birth control pills, Toperal, Zomig...ALL kinds of things. I can't stand the feeling of not being able to move my neck after taking the migraine medications...the feeling of being paralyzed scares me; plus it never takes the pain away 100%. The Topamax was a crazy medication for me; made me mentally retarded the ENTIRE time I was on the medication. Didn't know who I was, where I was going , drooled constantly. I would be walking to the bathroom and forget where I was going. And the tingling in my face the medication gave was horrible. I found that taking something to put me to sleep works best. BOOOO I hate migraines!
I hope I never pass them on to my children...I got mine through my father.
