She has peed in my bed a total of 4 times I would say over a couple months and I am just worried it is ruining the mattress. The mattress is not even a year old, does peeing ruin it? I have a mattress protector but I think it still seeps through. I always wash the sheets and mattress pad everytime she pees but I am just afraid the mattress will be ruined sooner than later.
Any suggestions? BTW-I always take her out to pee/poop before we go to bed and take her out immediately in the morning. |
I am having the SAME problem and was JUST about to post something on this! I don't know what to do.. I'm at the end of my rope here.

I really, really don't want to put her in a crate at night, she's NEVER been in a crate... but I don't know what else to do. I've heard it's almost impossible to get a dog to sleep in a crate once they are used to being in bed with you. I've been trying to keep her away from water after 7 PM, but we have other dogs and cats and I can't take up all the water in the house. It's like a constant battle trying to make sure she's not drinking... because she sneaks away and that's all she wants to do! My sister said I should put her up in my bedroom after 7, but she's in there all day while I'm at work and I don't even get home until after 5:30, I just think it's mean. I have thought about crating her all day while I'm at work, but I don't think that's fair because I can't come home during the day to let her out because I work half an hour away. I'm soooo frustrated, what am I doing wrong with her???
