i didnt read all the post because there are some many but
the only small breeds you find in va are sick or old

i work at a shelter in va in that 2 years we had one yorkie poo who never made it to the list

and about people mixing to mix, yes there are people who do that but there are people who are working on the next breed

the information came from AKC how can i go wrong there?? and every other bit of info found basically said the same..so the yorkie which i adore did come from people experimenting and mixing. im not jusifying me doing the same thing but the real problem isnt the breeder its the people wanting them and paying the money for them, the breeders are keeping up with the demand basically.

there is nothing wrong with mixing, because people want the small mixed breeds, its the two mutts on the street like a lab/shep and a rotti/pit mixing that is holding spots in our kennels and people really dont want that heinz 57. people what the cute and cuddle pup that looks like a puppy always

and no if i paid $$ or more for a dog and for some reason i cant keep im finding a good home and trying to get some of the money back, im not giving anything way for free, this world is too exspensive for that. i would ask for porbably half of what i paid, which would not include the other money invovled like vaccines and toys and care. even if i got it for free i would ask an adoption fee.
adoption agencies are great but, for example the one i have worked with is too strict and a lot of other agencies are the same, and they push potential customers away
