As someone who would have loved to have had some of that information while trying to reunite a wayward Yorkie with his humans a few weeks ago, these are the kinds of reports that unfortunately will discourage people from putting tags on their dogs.
Definitely at least include a name and phone number!
I was lucky because I was actively looking for the little guy's owners and found them within a few hours. I know a lot of times you hear about dogs being returned day or weeks later, if at all. |
I don't mean to discourage anyone from putting dog tags on, I just thought people should know to be more careful about how much info to put on them. I know that I will be getting a new tag for Jake with just my cell phone number on it, rather than our whole address and phone number. I thought more info was better in case he ever gets lost
