Yes....I know of one who has done this. Someone who totally ignored the contract drawn up by them even to the ridiculous point of stating there was no contract and refused to supply DNA results after numerous requests.
Fortunately, the contract is a binding agreement, whether they choose to acknowledge it or not so there is recourse.
