Oh, I couldn't stand that. No one is allowed to pick Summerlin up without my permission, except members of my family. I rarely let anyone else hold her, even with my permission, and definitely no strangers.
I would have to tell her to keep her hands off. Just last weekend, we went to a spring fling at a nearby shelter, and this lady was petting Summerlin, which was fine. Then she said, "oh, let me hold her!" I had no idea who this woman was, I wasn't about to let my baby go to her! I politely told her that I don't allow strangers to hold Summerlin, and she got all huffy and told her friend that I was being stingy with my dog. She's my dog!! If I don't want someone else messing with her, that is my business! My mom tried to calm the waters, but I didn't care - no way was that lady getting Summerlin. No, I couldn't stand your neighbor - I would have to say something, but that's just me... I'm not afraid to speak my mind to other people.
