What a great thread to come upon! First to know that there are wonderful people like you and your wife who are willing and able to adopt an older dog.
Second because the first one was reunited with her family, because Freddie has a new buddy, and last, but not least, because your new little beautiful girl has a good home.

I do have to agree with Villette though. It is not a good thing that there are Yorkies readily available now in shelters. They're so trendy, and then people get rid of them when the reality of owning a dog sets in.
So...this is what we have to do...if anyone asks if they're good pets, easy to take care of, etc...tell them NO!! Tell them they're difficult and demand clothing and jeweled collars and even shoes, only eat lobster or filet mignon and require daily grooming. |
