I wouldn't find it so strange, as the 4-7 lbs. pups seem to come from smaller sires (3-4 lbs). Even at 10 lbs. he's going to be a tiny little furball (relative to dogs in general) but yes, a big bigger as far as yorkies are concerned. Yorkies are in great demand so if he turns out to be too big for you, you wouldn't have any trouble finding him another forever home (wink wink =).
By the time he reaches full size though, his little paws will have such a grasp on your heart that you'll never care about his size
