Well, I went right down to the Sprint store and they gave me a new phone and a better plan for the same price that I had with Cingular. I got a new phone with Sprint and they used my Cingular telephone number.
I was home for about 1 hour when I received a call from Cingular (they knew because my number was transferred from them to Sprint). They asked me why I switched from them to Sprint. I told them I did it because they did not offer the same plan as what I had and I did not want a higher priced plan. They told me they had the same plan as I had with more minutes and they did not know why I was told they did not have this plan!! They also told me that I had, I believe, 48 hours to cancel Sprint and go back to them. I decided not to go back and have been very happy with Sprint. | I wasn't offered any credit at all, and was basically told the same thing as you were, but that I would have to sign up for another two years and I would have to buy a new phone.
They said I could not go month to month, it was either a new 2 year contract and new phone ( my phone that I have now will not work with their system any longer) I was not able to keep the minutes plan that I had needless to say with all the frustration with them this morning, I decided to "time myself out" I didn't go into the city and check on a different provider but definately will be signing up elsewhere in the morning. I really appreciate all your inputs, thank you.
Since our kids and also my sister are with Verizon, we may just go that route as the minutes would not be counted against us. I am one that really don't like making changes but in this instance I know it is definately for the best due to what has transpired with them.
Once again thank you all for your input.
