Do you only call him to "come" when it is time to put him in his kennel? Our trainer told us to call come throughout the day so they know that come doesn't always mean something bad (eg. leaving the dog park, going in the kennel). Tell him to come when it is time to play, tell him come when it's time for treats, or even when its just time for kisses.
Is there somewhere else you could keep him while you're away? Maybe the bathroom or the kitchen? Being in a kennel probably isn't much fun. Or could you try an X-pen? |
