Why don't you just put a leash on him when you take him outside, then you don't have to catch him.
Loki knows "crate". If I say "crate" he RUNS to his crate in about 5 seconds (he just did it, I'm not exaggerating) because he gets a TREAT out of it. Sometimes even a kong! Right now he is lying in his crate looking at me, thinking "mom where is my treat" so I have to go give him one now...
You have to do it even when you aren't leaving though. Practice putting him in there for 5 minutes, sometimes don't even close the door - just give him a treat for obeying you. |
