I would have to disagree with this statement, ears being up is not an indicator of an attentive breeder..... puppy ears go up and down all the time, and sometimes you get the stubborn dog where their ears wont stand for nothing (the breeder should not be dinged on the ears, if you want them up so badly then you can tape them yourself).... besides, i really dont think the ears being up is
necessary......... yes it is in the "standards" but what in the world does it matter? is there any practical reason why they should be up???? because if you let them on their natural course they are floppy, so why do we put them up if it is "unnatural"???
If you did follow any kind of "roadmap to choosing a pet" let this be the last thing that you look for in a good breeder..........
a bad breeder can tape up teh ears just as easily as a good breeder can...... go on your gut, does the breeder seem shady? do they ask YOU questions? are they knowledgable?
