I wish I had advice to offer you but I don't.
Scampers is scared to death of car rides. He starts shaking really bad and panting to where he almost hyperventalates. He has been going for cars since I got him a year ago. They are always pleaseant car rides and he likes going places, just doesn't like riding in cars. All my other dogs love car rides but no matter what I have tried, Scampers will never like car rides. The only time he does better is when I am driving and he is on my lap. But that can make it hard at times for me too when I am driving. I can't figure out why he acts this way but I doubt he will ever like car rides.
