maggie is not scared of riding in the car but her favorite spot in the car is exactly where your boy likes to be...on the console with front 2 paws on my arm looking out the windows. LOL. so...I have my backpack upside down in the front seat, with her bed on top of it and her strapped into the car seat by her harness (it came with an extra attachment that makes this possible). This way she is up high enough to see out the windows and can still reach mommy but she is strapped in.

i have also noticed that she likes to ride in my daughters car seat
I noticed her back there looking out the back of the car
so....I put her bed in my daughters car seat so it would elevate her a little and she could cuddle in it. and i strapped her in with her harness and voila...she was a happy camper
she could look out the back the whole trip if she wanted LOL
