While they are the breed for the moment, commanding high prices and the famous are buying them up. The are just the flavor of the month.....Statistically in the US they end up in the pound, rescue or a shelter. The numbers are high. Not that they aren't wonderful dogs, it's the owners that are a problem....they tire of them.

Oh Mardelin - that sounds so sad - so you are telling me that they are a fashion thing and when not wanted people dump them for the next fashion thing ! That is terrible ! .....And I take it your animal shelters are full of last years fad, right ? How awful !
Well I can see why rescues get so annoyed at loads of cross puppies - lets just hope that many nice rescue people will then go and give them a life home ! I knew that happened with Yorkies and other tiny pure breeds, but I didn't know it was happening with crosses. Over here, people who tend to buy crosses are DOG PEOPLE and will keep them for life.....I hope that doesn't start to happen here then !
