I am not trying to be rude here, but I really want to know about why the US is so against mixed breeds ? You see, over here, in the UK, mixed breeds are a breed themselves, and are actually preferred by most, as they have less health issues than a pure breed dog, which is common agreed knowledge, even with Vets. Also, pure breeds end up with the Royal Society for the Protection of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) just as much as any mixed breed, and mixed breeds are often easier to home as they are usually more placid, and not highly strung like some pure breeds.
Here, the cross breed is commanding about two thirds of the price of a pure breed, and some like Jackapoos, Labradoodles, etc, are highly sought after.
Please enlighten me as to the issues that you have with (what we consider) the humble mixed breed in the US, compared to over here in the UK.......
Is it just that being a huge country you just have too many dogs in shelters in general, and don't want to add to the population of unwanted dogs, or is there something else I am not aware of !
I am really curious.... Hope you don't mind me asking - I don't want to start an issue here....I just don't understand what is going on in your country and would like to be enlightened.
Thanks for anything you can tell me I am really interested to know what the issues are. Debra x x x x ....and by the way - everyone is right about this man - sounds creepy to me !
