Villette, it almost sounds like he wants to get another puppy, so that the two of you won't think about his illness. You both love the girls and they love you too. However, a puppy would bring new life into the home. Maybe a little boy puppy. That would give your husband "My Boy". Should your husband no longer be around, you will have his "Little Boy" to remember all the good times together. Time is so very short.
